OBJ, IBB MORALLY DEFICIENT TO PROVIDE ANY POLITICAL COMPASS –KEYAMO

Lagos lawyer and social activities, Mr. Festus Keyamo, SAN, has criticized Olusegun Obasanjo and Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida (widely called IBB), both retired generals and ex Heads of State, respecting the stands taken by both ex leaders in their letter and media statement on the current political challenges facing the country, asserting that they were too morally deficient to provide any political compass for this Nigeria again.

According to Keyamo, the message from both Obasanjo’s letter and IBB’s media statement lacked the desired solution for the country, maintaining that though the letter and the statement called for urgent need for government to address the problems plaguing Nigeria,  Nigerians must however reject the messengers whose  road-maps on the way forward are faulty.

“The message we can take from the letters of Obj & IBB is the urgent need for government to address problems plaguing Nigeria. But the message we must reject with the messengers is their roadmap on the way forward. They’re too morally deficient to provide any political compass for this nation again.

“Ironically, these expired leaders, IBB & Obj, used all the tricks in the books to illegally extend their tenures in office until they were chased away by Nigerians, yet they’re the ones now advising Buhari to give up his legal right to seek re-election. It’s hypocrisy at its best,” he said.

He continued, “Obj is simply a control freak on an endless search a puppet-like President the since the collapse of his 3rd-term agenda.”

Keyamo stressed that Obasanjo’s letter was a clever means to launch a political party over which he would preside since the APC and PDP have grown beyond his control. He therefore advised the former President to quit politics.
