OBASANJO OWES ME N10 MILLION, FAYOSE CLAIMS

Ayodele Fayose and Olusegun Obasanjo.
The Executive Governor of Ekiti State, Southwest Nigeria, and a chieftain of the People’s Democracy Party, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, has claimed that ex President Olusegun Obasanjo owes him the sum of N10 million. The said money, Fayose claimed is his contribution he was compelled to pay in 2005 when all the PDP governors at the time were made to pay the money to fund the Obasanjo Library at Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

He disclosed this while addressing party faithful recently at Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State Capital.

“Obasanjo would come out with a rotten mouth to be condemning PDP in which he was President for eight years; a party that gave him a platform from prison. If you saw the picture of Obasanjo when he was released from prison by General Abdusalami, you won’t allow him to sit beside you. The same man is now boasting all about,” the controversial governor said.

He continued, “When Obasanjo was to build his Library, we were made to pay N10 million as governors of PDP in 2005.  So my N10 million is part of the funds spent to build that Library. So he’s owing me N10 million! And I have written to him to return the money to me. He should also add the interest of the money to me. I stand to be corrected.

“How can Nigeria be celebrating a corrupt man? Obasanjo’s time has come and gone. We are at the centre of the business now. Here I am as governor; where is he today?”
