THE DEARTH OF COMRADESHIP; THE DEATH OF BROTHERHOOD; AND THE DEAFENING DECIBELS OF MOUTHY REVOLUTIONARIES Part I-IV – BY CHRIS MUSTAPHA NWAOKOBIA JNR

"When the people shall have nothing more to eat,
they will eat the rich." - Jean Jacques Rousseau.

Every so often I receive the deluge of compliments which has become my daily lot since I discovered my call some 29 years ago, precisely at 18 when with a few friends we birthed the group called VOICE OF THE PEOPLE in Sapele, a town once renowned for housing the biggest Timber & Plywood facility in Africa, one case of 'a paradise lost', blame the horrible leadership we grow in this clime. Yes, back to the compliments, too many nice words, lacking in support and action, lacking in commitment and comradeship, lacking in sincerity and sacrifice, and lacking in brotherhood, in backing and barking.

As humans, we of the progressive left have made huge mistakes, letting those who did not fight the Military to take over in 1999 was the most grievous, equally grievous was settling for Buhari in 2015 as the alternative to Goodluck Jonathan, when names like Prof Comfort Sonaiya of Kowa Party, Engr. Martin Onovo of the NCP, Dr. Nani Ibrahim Ahmad of the ADC et al were candidates. Indeed we owe the nation an apology, as we all suffer under the present watch. Who says that if we had pulled our resources, reach, leverage and experience around one of our own, we will be where we are today?

As 2019 approaches the same lies and hubris that fueled the fears that brought us this low, resonates. We are shopping for moneybags rather than putting our money where our mouth is, have you wondered what mileage our little support can give to an ORDINARY PEOPLES candidate? THINK and let us walk the talk.

THE DEARTH OF COMRADESHIP; THE DEATH OF BROTHERHOOD; AND THE DEAFENING DECIBELS OF MOUTHY REVOLUTIONARIES II

"In a well governed state, there are few punishments,
not because there are many pardons, but because criminals are rare;
it is when a State is in decay that the multitude of crimes is
a guarantee of impunity" - Jean Jacques Rousseau.

The above words define the Nigerian state. A state that must be reworked to the benefit of all. Without a modicum of doubt, the present political class cannot birth and berth the Nigeria of our dreams.

The present political operators are merchants of power, and merchants in power, driven by neo-colonial policies that hold little or nothing for the ORDINARY PEOPLE.

They preach Privatization and Private Sector driven economics, they create big businesses that profit them and their cronies at the expense of the masses. And they trade the fallacy that Govt has no business in business, not even in the most liberal capitalist economies are governments not involved in business. And, we celebrate the hubris that sees to the sale of national wealth to governmental operators and their apparatchiks. Sad.

When on the 16/12/2017 I resigned from the APC, and on the 1/01/2018 I declared my intention to run for the office of President come 2019, I was not driven by politics but the need for a SYSTEM OVERHAUL, some think that what we need is regime change, but it is more than that. WEALTH REDISTRIBUTION and RESTRUCTURING are the core normative that will save our Country, and prevent THE POOR FROM EATING UP THE RICH, only the deep can see through the unfolding reality ditto kidnapping and the wanton killings that liter the space.

Now is the time to take back our Country.

THE DEARTH OF COMRADESHIP; THE DEATH OF BROTHERHOOD; AND THE DEAFENING DECIBELS OF MOUTHY REVOLUTIONARIES III

"True compassion is more than flinging a coin to a beggar;
it is not haphazard and superficial. It comes to see that
an edifice which produces beggars needs restructuring.
A true revolution of values will soon look uneasily on
the glaring contrast of poverty and wealth...and say
'THIS IS NOT JUST.'"
- Martin Luther King Jr.
A Time to Break Silence. April 4, 1967.

I have watched the emergence of several young Presidential candidates with 2019 as the target year for a masses oriented ballot based ORDINARY PEOPLES revolution, but the target must be SYSTEM OVERHAUL, WEALTH REDISTRIBUTION AND RESTRUCTURING.

There are several reasons for which we must own the Redemptive process, we must remove from asking politicians for stipends and handouts, and learn to support and fund the process with our 100, 1,000, 5,000, 10,000, 100,000, 1m, 10m, 40m, or so naira. We must organize to take back our Country.
Ponder the ironies:

1. We have about the lowest minimum wage, and the highest paid Legislators in the world.

2. Govt lends money to Private Individuals and cronies that bought over our national assets like PHCN in the most corrupt Privatization protocol known to humankind.
3. Since 1999 the ANTI-CORRUPTION war has been very political, 'you are treated as corrupt and harassed until you move to the ruling party'.
4. Trillions are spent on infrastructure with little to show for it.
5. As praise-singers seeking crumbs defend the indefensible.
This will continue if we do not take ownership of the political process. Now is the time to take back our Country.

DEARTH OF COMRADESHIP; DEATH OF BROTHERHOOD; AND DEAFENING DECIBELS OF MOUTHY REVOLUTIONARIES IV

I am excited that young people are taking up the gauntlet to challenge for the Presidency in 2019. When I did in 2011 at 40, some considered it a joke, haply today that effort has given rise to the NOT TOO YOUNG TO RUN fervency, it inspires THE YOUTH TAKE OVER MOVEMENT and fuels THE CABAL MUST GO normative. Being the youngest Presidential Candidate in our nation's democratic history when I ran in 2011, has inspired a generation to dare.

The choice to run again in 2019 is a commitment to a CALL, a call to birth and berth a NEW DEAL for the masses of our people; a call for a SYSTEM OVERHAUL; a call for RESTRUCTURING; a call for WEALTH

REDISTRIBUTION, a call for a JUST, EQUITABLE and FAIR Nigeria; a call to return Nigeria to Nigerians; and a call to etch love for human lives, love for Country, love for generation next, and love indiscriminate of creed or clan, on our national canvass.

WE CANNOT CONTINUE TO:
1.     Politic with human lives ala CHIBOK and DAPCHI and think all is well.
2.     Dwell on conspiracy theories, when if we organize we can rupture the conspiracy of the RULING CLASS and the Political elite against the ORDINARY PEOPLE.
3.     Take side with, fight one another, and or defend those who brought our nation to this sorry trajectory.
4.     Allow the blame game that excuses the failure of the present watch with those of the past.
5.     Allow cheerleaders to cheer us into believing that there is no alternative to the mediocre and the lethargic.
And the way to go is to take ownership of the political process by supporting and fundraising to berth THE NEW DEAL.
