ALGERIA VS S/EAGLES: COACH RELEASES LIST OF PLAYERS

Super Eagles, Nigeria's national team.

Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr has released his Starting 11, expected to confront the Desert Foxes, as the Algerian national team is known. The encounter is part of the Super Eagles qualifying matches preparatory to their appearance in Russian 2018 Mundial. The match is slated to take place in Constantine later today.

Rohr revealed his starting line up shortly after the last training session of the team. Deportivo La Coruna’s Goalkeeper, Francis Odinaka Uzoho made the matchday squad, with Daniel Akpeyi missing out on selection, while John Ogu was also selected for the first time under Rohr.

Israel based Anthony Nwakaeme will also make his debut as he is in the starting lineup.

Mainz defender, Leon Balogun will be saddled with the role of leadership as he wears the captain band with William Troost-Ekong, Shehu Abdullahi and Ola Aina completing the back four. Alex Iwobi is expected to lead the attack in the encounter that many soccer followers believe to be explosive owing to the antecedent of the previoos meet by the two enemy nations in soccer terms.
