NIGERIA: THE WAY OUT IS THE TRUTH I-III -BY CHRIS MUSTAPHA NWAOKOBIA JNR.

"..And ye shall know the TRUTH,
and the TRUTH shall make you free."
- John 8:32.

"O you who believe! Have fear of God,
and be among the TRUTHFUL."
- Quran 9:119

"Conscience is an open wound,
only TRUTH can heal it."
- Uthman Dan Fodio 1805.

I am compelled to reach out to you Countrymen and women with a series that is not only timely and instructive, but redemptive.

After 19 years of uninterrupted civil rule lacking largely in democratic pluses, it is time TO THINK.

Our space is terribly fouled with falsehood and kindergarten tales presented by political operators and state actors as 'dividends of democracy'. And here I am referring to the chief actors on our political stage since 1999.

Do not be deceived with the nomenclature, the APC and the PDP are Siamese twins, predominated by power grabbers skilled in perfidy, they have a way of reinventing themselves, they change platforms where necessary, they realign, they dole out emotional and emotive propaganda, and they trade enchanting hokum and hubris with no less a mission than to continue the rape of the nation, and the despoliation of our collective patrimony.

Some have swallowed the pill of deceit so much that they seek to differentiate between the 16 years of the PDP, and the three years of the APC, forgetting that the movie has been largely one of the same actors, the same mission and the same script. THINK.

In 19 years the same gladiators have given us reasons why we are unable to generate and or distribute more than 5,000Mw of power. They have told us they will build new homes, as over 50,000 units of abandoned Federal Houses liter the space.

They get richer as the people become poorer. And with crumbs they recruit praise-singers and jesters. This cycle must be broken. And the how is the trust before us.

NIGERIA: THE WAY OUT IS THE TRUTH II
"The lifespan of falsehood is short,

and even shorter is the lifespan of propaganda."
 - CMN JNR.

I see the profuse effort of propagandists and political operators to deceive, and to continue to rape our Dear Country. To their foot-soldiers, I ask.
1. What is the difference between the PDP and the APC?

Do you know that over 60% of the APC Governors were in the PDP? Do you know that over 70% of the members of the present National Assembly were in the PDP, and that a huge number of them are presently in the APC? Same of the same, simply.

The time to demolish the hubris that differentiates between the 16 years of the PDP and the three years of the APC is now. We have had 19 years of lethargic and mediocre governance superintended by the same Actors and Operators, and we must organize rather than agonize, and work together to take back our Country.

2. Why do we engage in the banal debate of validating a failed past with the failing present, and vice versa?

If the past were a success, we would not have voted them out, and if all the present does is to blame the past for her less than effective stride in the saddle, then we must do the needful.

Some have argued that CHANGE takes time. I ask, how long does it take to repair a refinery? Why is the present Govt spending more on fuel subsidy after increasing the price per litre of fuel from 87 to 145 naira? Does it not tell how much stronger the Cabal has become? So what has CHANGED?

The truth is that for Nigeria to be great again, we must place our Country and generation next above partisanship. We must challenge for the soul of our Country by speaking TRUTH to power.

As we develop the resolve needed to turn things around. Let us reduce our whining on social media, do less of partying and wining, and put resources together to berth the nation we seek. A BETTER NIGERIA IS POSSIBLE.

NIGERIA: THE WAY OUT IS THE TRUTH III
"True compassion is more than flinging
a coin at a beggar; it comes to see that an
edifice which produces beggars needs restructuring."

- Martin Luther King Jr.

In less than 252 days Nigerians will be faced with the choice between the present, and THE NEW, between propaganda and the need for NEW paradigms in leadership, nay a choice between falsehood and TRUTH.

The unfolding theatrics on the political amphitheatre foretells interesting times, however it is a time for the discerning to be circumspect. We fought and removed the past watch because of corruption, as we lampooned its fuel subsidy regime as fraudulent, but that administration never denied knowledge of the daily consumption of fuel per litre. Strangely, under the present watch of Mr. Integrity/Anti-Corruption Voltron of the Universe, the NNPC does not know the number of litres of PMS we consume daily, between Agencies of the present Govt, it is either 60m, 36m or 50 something million litres. Laughs.

Curiously, with fuel selling at 145 naira, as opposed to 87 naira per litre under the corrupt one, we pay more today on subsidy (UNDER-RECOVERY) with Mr Integrity as Minister of Petroleum, and with more bogus subsidy claims to handle, yet lying propagandists regale us with Buhari’s anti-corruption hubris. Who is deceiving who?

What about Agriculture, I do not know long it takes to grow rice, perhaps three years. I hear that we are becoming Rice sufficient, whereas the price of a bag of Rice yet ranges from 18k to 22k, and the price of locally grown Rice about the same. And with the marauding Herdsmen sacking farmlands, as food shortage intensifies, where do we situate Minister Audu Ogbeh's lies? THINK.

Are you aware that Nigeria overtook India 2months ago as the Country with the world's poorest population? THINK.

We must dislodge this CHANGE come 2019, Compatriots.
